Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has admitted his ´surprise´ at being linked with the England manager´s job.
Reports in Spain have claimed that the German is among those being considered by the Football Association to replace Steve McClaren, who sacked in the wake of England´s failure to qualify for Euro 2008.
Quizzed on the reports, Schuster said: "We will leave it there, things get published every day. But it surprised me to be mentioned."
