The Italy international, who is currently on loan with AC Milan following an underwhelming debut season at Anfield, had reportedly said: "Barcelona is the only club to have two stadiums, Camp Nou for matches and Bernabeu for training.”
But Balotelli reacted angrily on Twitter, hitting out at those who allegedly made up the quote. The 25-year-old also described Real Madrid as a “dream club” in the same tweet.

“Just to let you people know..” the striker wrote, “Stop putting stupid words in my mouth! I never made fun of real Madrid and i won't never. Is a dream club!”
Balotelli’s post has since been retweeted over four-and-a-half thousand times, and has received more than 3000 'favourites’, but how many of them have come from Real Madrid fans is unclear.
The idea of Balotelli ever playing for Real Madrid now seems fanciful after the past 12 months.
The former Manchester City ace managed to score just one Premier League goal for Liverpool last season following his £16 million transfer from AC Milan - and finished the 2014-15 campaign with a pitiful total of four goals in 28 appearances.
Recent reports have also indicated that Balotelli has failed to mature as a person. The Independent described how, shortly after Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in March, Balotelli scored an own goal from the halfway line in training before walking off laughing.
The Liverpool Echo, meanwhile, revealed the striker missed a training session in order to purchase himself a new iPhone 6.
Balotelli is now rapidly running out of chances to fulfil his considerable potential - and Liverpool may have their work cut out when trying to sell him permanently next summer.
