Olivier Giroud was booed whilst on the pitch during France’s 2-1 win over Serbia last night, but the Arsenal star has admitted he will have to correct a few things. The striker missed a number of good opportunities during the clash at the Stade Bordeaux Atlantique, and was then subbed off in favour of Karim Benzema. After the clash Giroud said he knew he needed to improve, but since France are hosts at next year’s European Championships he won’t have many opportunities to do so competitively at international level. Elsewhere Barcelona are looking to fill the void left by Pedro’s move to Chelsea, and one of the players they’ve considered is Theo Walcott. It’s a bold claim, emanating from the Daily Mail, but perhaps having the England winger as a backup option to Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar isn’t all that ridiculous. Emphasis on perhaps.
