Former England international Michael Owen has selected his combined Manchester United and Liverpool XI ahead of this weekend's crunch clash at Old Trafford.
As reported by the official website of the Premier League, Owen, who featured for both clubs throughout his fine career, has picked as many as eight players from the Red Devils in his team.
In fact, only the Liverpool trio of Martin Skrtel, Philippe Coutinho and Christian Benteke make Owen's XI.

Owen, who retired from the game in the summer of 2013, believes Manchester United are currently ahead of their rivals in terms of quality.
"Having played for both teams I know this is going to upset quite a few people," he said.
"But Manchester United are slightly ahead of Liverpool in terms of quality at present."

All to prove
At the end of the day, after Manchester United replaced Liverpool in this year's Champions League competition, it's hard to argue against the former Three Lions striker.
One thing's for sure, both teams have it all to prove as they go in search of success this season. In fact, Manchester United and Liverpool will be determined to bounce back this weekend after being on the wrong end of results before the international break.
United suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea City, while Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool were humiliated on home soil as West Ham beat them 3-0 at Anfield. Saturday's clash, then, could prove the perfect tonic for one of England's big-boys.
