Former WWE Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree says Bubba Ray Dudley caused him to have ‘so many concussions’ when they wrestled together.
Dupree was part of the WWE from 2003 until 2007. During that time he won the WWE Tag Team Championship and the World Tag Team Championship. As the majority of people know, The Dudley Boyz was a dominant tag team for parts of that time period as well.
Speaking on The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast, he said Bubba Ray Dudley caused him to have concussions several times.

He said: “I’ve had so many concussions from Bubba Ray Dudley it’s not even funny. You know Chris Nowinski had to retire because of Bubba Ray giving him concussions right? Devon, it’s universal everyone likes Devon because he’s a pro, but Bubba can be difficult to work with.
“One time in the ring, Sly screwed up a spot and then Bubba punched him in the face and bloodied his nose and Sly asked him why backstage and Bubba went off and punched him in the face again. Sylvan was very good friends with Pat Patterson and they weren’t around shortly thereafter.”
What is strange is why it has taken this long for Dupree to voice out his concerns over Bubba Ray Dudley. Yes, if consistent concussions are occurring, then something needs to be changed, but why has it taken ten years since The Dudley Boyz first left the WWE, and only when they return, for him to say something?
The Dudley Boyz will face either The Prime Time Players or The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championships at Night of Champions on September 20. Their opponent will be decided next Monday on Raw.
