Ric Flair wants to see Charlotte wrestle against Ronda Rousey

Published 6 Comments

Ric Flair has said he would like to see his daughter, WWE Diva Charlotte, go up against UFC Women's Champion Ronda Rousey.

The WWE Hall of Famer told WrestleZone Radio according to MTV that he'd love to see Charlotte, also known by her real name Ashley, go up against Rousey, one of the most in-demand stars in the world today.

He said: "I hear the comparisons all the time and I’ll be the first to promote them. If Ashley had six months to train with someone that is really qualified to take her to that level… It’s not a conditioning issue or a strength issue, she’s strong as a lion all day long.

"She’s about 15 or 20 pounds heavier and she’s strong. She can bench press 185 pounds. I don’t think Ronda can do that but Ronda has had years of conditioning and training."

Flair also went on to say that Charlotte is not afraid of going up against the UFC Women's Champion. He said: "I can tell you right now Ashley is not afraid of her. She would need training, obviously, to compete with someone like Ronda who has done so well and is such a big star.

"Ashley respects her so much. They’ve met and she just thinks Ronda is an awesome person. I would love that fight to happen."

The majority of people who talk about the WWE have high hopes that Rousey will eventually join the WWE whether that be part time or full time. The talent she possesses is one of a kind and must be utilised by the WWE.

When she joins, she needs the perfect feud to get the crowd behind her straight away. Putting her against someone like Charlotte, who has the wrestling in her blood, would be a great match.
