Liverpool fans were extremely excited when their club signed Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim in the summer.

The Brazilian has a reputation as a skilful and creative player, that has the ability to change a game in an instant.

Brendan Rodgers has been careful in his introduction of Firmino to English football, and Reds' fans are yet to see the best of their £29 million man.

The 23-year-old has, so far, started two Premier League games, and come off the bench twice, but is yet to complete a full 90 minutes.

Firmino is currently on international duty for Brazil, and played a part in their 4-1 win over USA last night.

The midfielder came off the bench at half-time, along with Neymar, and way deployed in a central role by Dunga.

Rodgers has often tried the Brazilian in a wide-position since he arrived on Merseyside, but the manager may be considering playing his new signing through the middle after this performance.

He produced some neat link up play in his 45 minutes cameo and should have had an assist after he put the ball on a plate for Rafinha, but the Barcelona man fired wide.

Firmino also had a chance to get his name on the score sheet, but his left-footed effort was saved by American goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

Liverpool supporters will be hoping Firmino can quickly find his feet in the Premier League. His best position may be in the centre, but with Philippe Coutinho in the middle he may have to settle for a wide birth.
