Selection headache for Brendan Rodgers

Saturday's clash against fierce rivals Manchester United has come around a little too soon for Sturridge, whose imminent return to first-team action will leave manager Brendan Rodgers with a selection headache.

The Northern Irish coach must find a way to include Sturridge in the same starting line-up as Philippe Coutinho, Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino.

Benteke and Firmino cost a Liverpool a combined £61.5 million and neither player was signed to warm the bench, while Coutinho - as one of the Reds' most effective attacking players - has made himself undroppable.
