Maduro wants continuity at Ajax

Published Add your comment

Ajax midfielder Hedwiges Maduro will wait to see the club´s long-term plans before committing himself to a new contract following the exit of coach Henk ten Cate.

Adrie Koster took charge at the Amsterdam ArenA provisionally until the end of the season following Ten Cate´s departure to be number two at Chelsea earlier this month.

And Maduro, 22, wants to make sure the next manager is in it for the long haul before signing a new deal, telling newspaper Het Parool: "We now have each year a different coach, with another idea about how we should play. I spoke about it with Urby Emanuelson too. In the four years that we have been part of the squad, we have had four different coaches."
