Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to express their bemusement after being sent an email on Sunday morning featuring a ‘Hat-Trick of Offers’ from the club’s megastore.
The email was sent out to supporters, less than 24 hours after Steven Naismith scored a hat-trick for Everton against Jose Mourinho’s side at Goodison Park.
It’s either a bad attempt at humour from Chelsea’s marketing department - or, and this is a more likely explanation, the email was scheduled to send before the Blues’ 3-1 defeat against the Toffees.

The Blues’ faithful, though, are concerned for their team’s season following another poor result. Chelsea have won just one of their opening five Premier League matches and currently sit 16th in the table, two points above the relegation zone.

Could Jose Mourinho be sacked this month?
Mourinho’s side are already 11 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City, who recorded a late win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, and could find themselves inside the bottom three if they lose to Arsenal next weekend.
Mourinho is now a manager under pressure - even though the Portuguese coach claims he does not fear the sack - and he will be acutely aware that defeat at Stamford Bridge to Arsene Wenger’s men is not simply out of the question. It cannot happen.
However, if the worst does happen next weekend, could there be a small chance that Roman Abramovich will sack Mourinho?
