Rey Mysterio has gone to Twitter to explain to his fans why he isn't wrestling with the WWE anymore.
Recent speculation over the past month has linked Rey Mysterio with a return to the WWE. However, rather than leaving his fans in a state of limbo over his possible return to the company, the former WWE Champion addressed his fans through his Twitter account.
He said: "I had an incredible time performing in WWE & would love to thank everyone who saw me for the first time & became a fan! My life & career plans are heading in other directions, as for now I'm at a very comfortable stage. But we never know what the future holds for us!#Booyaka619

"WWE had a good understanding on my departure. I hope this would answer some of the questions on why I ain't wrestling with WWE anymore."
While the news that Mysterio isn't returning anytime soon will come as a disappointment to many, he hasn't ruled out a return entirely. This means there is hope the 40-year-old will return for one more match in the future.
If he does ever return, a feud that would be great for him would be one with Neville. The WWE Superstar would put on a great high-flyer match with the Mysterio, and fans would be amazed by the acrobatics performed in the ring. He could even make a tag team with Neville and go up against the Lucha Dragons.
At the moment, the former WWE Champion is working in the Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion LLC (AAA) (Spanish for "Assistance, Consulting, and Administration") - a Lucha Libre professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico.
