The Dusty Rhodes tag team classic continues with another team competing to earn a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships. Earlier this week on the Stone Cold Steve Austin Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Edge put over Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder and how talented they were.

He highlighted how they could be the next Arn and Ole Anderson. However, they were unable to overcome Jason Jordan and Chad Gable, who move on to the next round.

In the second match of the episode, Carmella takes on Eva Marie, and it’s being reported that she continued to receive massive heat by the NXT fans.

The booking team did themselves no favours, though, Eva Marie picks up the win via count out. It’s clear she’s not ready for the NXT Women’s Champion, it will be a huge mistake if she does dethrone the champion.

Bull Dempsey gets his match with Tyler Breeze after calling him out a week earlier.

In the end, Breeze picks up the win by knocking Dempsey off the top rope and pinning him with his feet on the ropes.

The next segment is what the fans have been talking about. NXT General Manager William Regal is inside of the ring with a desk set up.

He introduces new signing Kana to the NXT Universe and confirms she will now compete under her new name, Asuka.

Dana Brooke and Emma ruin her special moment, playing down her arrival and telling her that they run NXT as Asuka leaves the ring visibly upset.

In the main event of the evening, we see a TakeOver: Brooklyn rematch with the Vaudevillians taking on Blake and Murphy.

The titles are on the line, and the winners of this match will be meeting the winners of the Dusty Rhodes tag team classic tournament.

Alexa Bliss was involved in this event to give Blake and Murphy the advantage on numerous occasions. However, Blue Pants made another appearance to even the odds, and it allowed the Vaudevillians to pick up the victory.
