Dallas Cowboys dealt major blow - key star facing surgery

Published Add your comment

The Dallas Cowboys might be facing a spell without star wide receiver Dez Bryant, with the 26-year-old having broken a bone in his foot during the fourth quarter of the franchise’s win over the New York Giants. After the clash, which the Cowboys won 27-26, Jason Garrett confirmed that Bryant had broken a bone and looked likely to undergo surgery. Such fortunes could rule him out for between 4-6 weeks, which may prove costly given how important Bryant is for his team. Nevertheless the player himself remains in good spirits, having tweeted that he would be back soon. Meanwhile, in the NBA the league is reacting to the news of Hall of Famer Moses Malone’s passing. The NBA legend, who played for a host of franchises during his career, including the Houston Rockets and the Philadelphia 76ers, was found dead on Sunday in Norfolk, Virginia, though no foul play is suspected. The likes of Kobe Bryant, Wilson Chandler and Allen Iverson took to Twitter to express their regret.
