El Hadji Diouf has responded to insulting comments from Steven Gerrard in the former Liverpool captain's autobiography by outrageously accusing his ex-teammate of being a racist.
Gerrard named Diouf as the worst Liverpool player he played with - per the Liverpool Echo - and said he had no respect for the former Senegal international, who spent three years with the Reds, in his new book.
But Diouf, 34, has reacted by sensationally claiming Gerrard does not like black people.

“Liverpool is not a club that welcomes black players, unless they are English — but if they are not they don’t stand a chance," the forward, who now plies his trade for Malaysia Premier League side Sabah, was quoted as telling Senegal’s Radio Futur Media by The Sun.
“It is common knowledge that Gerrard has never liked blacks. When I was at Liverpool I showed him that I was black, I wasn’t English, and I wasn’t going to take any nonsense.
“He never dared look me in the eye all the time I was at the club.”
Diouf: Gerrard is jealous of me
Diouf added: “Gerrard is just jealous of me. He hasn’t achieved what I have done in football.
“I arrived at Liverpool with the status of a big boss, and he just lived there. I am respected throughout world football.
“The greatest experts in the game have declared me one of the seven best players at a World Cup, and among the 100 best players of the century. There are lots of great players who are not on these lists.
“Everywhere I go away from my homeland people worship me — while Gerrard will get abuse whenever he leaves his home city of Liverpool."
Gerrard to respond to shock claim?
Gerrard's new autobiography has already caused a big stir - Rafael Benitez came out yesterday and denied suggestions he didn't like the former England midfielder - but Diouf's comments could potentially have severe repercussions.
After being accused of being a racist, it seems very likely that Gerrard will respond through the media to deny Diouf's shocking comments.
Diouf, meanwhile, is unlikely to get an invite back to Anfield after attempting to tarnish the image of one of Liverpool's favourite sons.
