When, last week, Jason Pierre-Paul met with the New York Giants hierarchy for the first time since severely injuring his hand in a fireworks accident back in July, it was supposed to clear up his status.
Instead, with reports claiming the damage to JPP's hand was worse than the Giants expected, the long-awaited meeting has only cast further doubt on the star's potential return.
Frustrated with the speculation, the player himself has today responded by posting a video online in which he, for the first time, gives fans a glimpse of the hand that has dominated the Giants' offseason.

The following video was posted on Jason Pierre-Paul's official Instagram account:
Coming less than 24-hours after an ESPN report claimed the Giants fear Pierre-Paul will be out of action for another five or six weeks at least, the player's confident message is an encouraging sign for fans of the franchise.
Still, although the footage doesn't give a clear shot of JPP's right hand, it does appear to confirm that, as well as missing his right index finger, the 26-year-old has suffered damage to other digits.
Indeed, some may take the bandage on Pierre-Paul's thumb as confirmation of reports this week that he is missing its tip.
While there is now no doubt about Jason Pierre-Paul's desire to get back on the gridiron, the freak nature of the injury means it is impossible to say for certain when the Giants can expect to welcome him back.
The video suggests the player remains in good physical condition despite a difficult offseason, but the franchise, at this time at least, simply do not seem to share the absolute confidence Pierre-Paul is showing.
