The release of Steven Gerrard's book, My Story, is threatening to spark a war of words between the former Liverpool captain and Rafa Benitez.
Gerrard used his autobiography to discuss his relationship, or lack thereof, with Benitez at length, claiming the Spaniard is his only previous Liverpool manager he could not pick up the phone and speak to.
The biggest claim from the LA Galaxy midfielder was that Benitez, now manager of Real Madrid, simply did not like him as a person.

"I don't think Rafa Benitez liked me as a person. I'm not sure why, but that's the feeling I got from him." Gerrard wrote.
Benitez responded a day later with a hint of belligerence, inciting that Gerrard had drawn the opinion from thin air in an attempt to sell more copies of the book.
"I have read the quotes and I believe he is wrong," Benitez told reporters in Spain. He has brought out a book and now I'm the Real Madrid manager, that sells."
A chance to respond
Having been accused of lying by his former manager, Gerrard was given the perfect chance to defend himself whilst working as a pundit for BT Sport on Tuesday night.
Following Real Madrid's 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk, host Gary Lineker asked Gerrard whether he thought Benitez was the right man to bring success to the Bernabeu.
But instead of escalating the war of words between himself and Benitez, Gerrard came back with a response that both brought a smile to our faces and ended the battle for good. Classy!
