Oakland Raiders head coach reveals great quarterback news

Published Add your comment

The Oakland Raiders are to be boosted by the return of quarterback Derek Carr for their next game against the Baltimore Ravens. Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio confirmed in an interview yesterday that he believed Carr would be in good shape this week, with X-rays on a suspected broken thumb having come back negative. That comes after Carr was withdrawn from the regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals in the second quarter last week, with it initially expected that he would be out of action for the Ravens clash. Across to the NBA and two-time MVP Steve Nash is in talks to join the Golden State Warriors. Before fans get too ahead of themselves though, it’s to become a part-time player development consultant, with ESPN reporting that the the two parties are in the final stages of agreeing a deal. It’s said his main role will be to work with the Golden State guards, with coach Steve Kerr having had a big hand in convincing the 41-year-old to get onboard.
