The hottest news among the WWE circles right now is that 'Nikki Bella broke AJ Lee's record and became the longest reigning diva in the history of WWE'.
As soon as I came across this news, my mind posed me an immediate question. Does she really deserve it? Forget about whether she deserves it or not but something that's causing me hell lot of discomfort is, 'Is she the one to do it?'
Don't get me wrong, I somehow repudiate to recognize this accomplishment. I don't deny anyone's predilections about Nikki Bella and her prestigious title reign but I definitely have my reasons to say this.

I always found Nikki as a flippant diva who never took things seriously. In every three out of her four title defenses, Brie or someone would get involved and protect Nikki.
You could always ask me this question- 'Did Tamina not help AJ in her title defense?' I agree with this, but AJ has been a fighting Champion and surely Nikki isn't as dominant or charismatic as AJ is!
It is also notable that while AJ was the Champ, the other Divas got chances to prove themselves, and that's how Paige came into the limelight today.
How about Nikki's reign as the Divas Champion? Forget about opportunities, this division has become so weak that the WWE management considered the option of bringing in divas from NXT to somehow develop interesting story-lines.
A 296-day title reign is something that you don't get that easy, and you definitely can't easily give it to someone who has contributed so little to the company. Agree with me or not, I somehow don't see this as the right move especially after seeing the contributions of legendary divas like Lita, Trish, AJ, and Eve.
As Bray Wyatt would say to Roman Reigns, 'It's any other legendary Diva but you Nikki!'
