There has been a little concern regarding Ryback's reign as the Intercontinental Champion. His matches against Big Show and The Miz reinforced this further.
At once, it seemed like the WWE creative team was vacillating in the matter of choosing the right opponents for the 'Big Guy' but it's now time to get rid of all our presumptions. WWE found a perfect opponent for Ryback.
An opponent that is an equal to the so-called human wrecking ball. There is not even a hint of doubt that this match will surely levitate the pride and respect of the Intercontinental Championship and help both these superstars in the long run.

Don't call it an over-statement. It is a known fact that Ryback always loves to be fed more, and he has already faced some big names like Cena, Punk, The Shield, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler. The list goes on. You would expect any guy with all these accomplishments to be somewhere among the WWE bigwigs. But that is not the case with him.
First title win in WWE
The Intercontinental Championship is Ryback's first title reign in WWE, and the more dominant Ryback appears as a Champion, the better it is for him in the long run.
Let me tell you a small fact - In WWE, the acclaim you get after a match is directly proportional to your opponent's performance. Looks absurd? No it's not. It may seem paradoxical at the outset but that has always been the trick that WWE used to elevate a superstar.
So how about an opponent like Owens when you are seemingly a little down? That is a blessing in disguise. This match is sure to stupefy the WWE universe with all the physical action and naturally help both Ryback and Owens establish themselves in the business as two monsters and prove their mettle.
