Jose Mourinho has denied the suggestion that a rift has opened between him and Chelsea captain John Terry. Steven Gerrard, working as a pundit for BT Sport, claimed there was ‘friction’ behind the scenes at Chelsea after Terry was left on the bench for the encounter with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Mourinho, however, has responded to the former Liverpool captain’s assertion - stating that there is no problem with Terry. The Chelsea manager, meanwhile, also joked that he had ‘forgot the winning’ feeling after his side resoundingly beat Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League. Chelsea have won just once in the Premier League this season, but began their European campaign with a 4-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.
