There has been more circulation of talks on the mystery partner to join up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in their match against The Wyatt Family at Night of Champions, with one candidate being Chris Jericho.
The former Shield duo are yet to reveal the man who will be joining them in the ring this weekend when they take on Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Braun Stowman. However, the new front-runner could be The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla.
Jericho, who currently is only participating in the WWE on a part-time schedule only at non-televised live events, has mainly been competing against Harper and Kevin Owens whenever he is used.

He has won all of his live events contests since his last televised appearance at The Beast in the East WWE Network Special, where he defeated Neville.
However, according to Cageside Seats, there's now more talk of Y2J being the mystery partner for Reigns and Ambrose at Night of Champions.
This would be great if it were true, but the problem is linking him in and figuring out why he is getting involved with the feud. Not many people would have seen his work at the live events, and even then he won at the events against Harper, so what's the beef?
One person that would make more sense but is just as much as a long shot is The Rock. He has family ties with Reigns and, therefore, this connection is more reliable and better to understand as to why he is getting involved in the bout.
But if it were to be a big name like The Rock or Jericho, the WWE would have announced it sooner to entice more people to watch the pay-per-view on the WWE Network. This is why I don't think it will be one of these guys.
