Willem II goalkeeper Maikel Aerts is facing another spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in the 1-0 win over Roda JC.

The 31-year-old was making his first appearance on Saturday after a six-month injury lay-off, but began complaining of a sore knee in the final stages of the match.

Aerts underwent an exploratory operation on Sunday, and although that revealed no major damage, the custodian is likely to be out of action for around four weeks.
