The world of snooker has a new champion to herald following this weekend’s Shanghai Masters final. Young Kyren Wilson of Kettering Town beat Judd Trump in the competition’s final by ten frames to nine, claiming his first ranked honour and the £85,000 cash prize // Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton has insisted he will come back stronger after being forced to retire from the Singapore Grand Prix. Hamilton accepted that his team had failed as a unit, but pledged to make the impossible possible. Across to boxing and Amir Khan has confirmed talks with Manny Pacquiao’s camp regarding a potential fight in the near future. Khan said that Al Haymon, his adviser, is working on getting the bout made, and talked up the chances of it happening. Lastly, Andy Murray has confirmed he may miss the World Tour Finals if Belgium opt to hold the Davis Cup final on clay. Murray spoke over the demands a clay appearance could have, and questioned whether he would make the World Finals as a result.
