Blackburn boss Mark Hughes is confident his players will not drop their guard when they venture into the unknown on Thursday.

Rovers, who are unbeaten in 15 league and cup games, take on Greek Cup winners Larissa in the first leg of a UEFA Cup first-round tie at the Panthessaliko Stadium in Volos as Larissa´s Alkazar Stadium does not come up to UEFA standards.

Hughes said: "There´s a case of the unknown with Larissa. We don´t know a great deal about them and they haven´t played a great deal of football either. So it´s been difficult to get the information we normally have on our opponents, but we won´t drop our guard."
