Internazionale defender Christian Chivu is set to miss next Wednesday´s Champions League Group G opener against Fenerbahce through injury.
The Romanian captain sustained a shoulder injury during his team´s midweek international friendly defeat to Germany.
The absence of Chivu will be a setback for coach Roberto Mancini, who will also have to do without injured defender Marco Materazzi and suspended trio Nicolas Burdisso, Ivan Cordoba and Douglas Maicon.
