A cheeky Liverpool fan has attempted to trick the wife of club owner John W Henry by getting her to wish Carlo Ancelotti, who FSG have reportedly approached to take over from Brendan Rodgers, a happy birthday on Twitter.
Linda Pizzuti Henry was asked by @Jay_Castley if she could wish his granddad a happy birthday - but the photo wasn’t of his grandfather, it was of Ancelotti.
“Could you wish my grandad a happy birthday please, he’s a massive Liverpool fan,” Jay tweeted directly to Linda Pizzuti Henry, who simply replied: “Clever”.

So, what can we take from Linda’s response?
Well, we now know for certain that she knows who Carlo Ancelotti is - which is interesting in itself. Perhaps the Daily Mail’s story that Liverpool have approached the former Real Madrid manager is true after all, despite the club’s protestations.
After Linda’s tweet, another Liverpool fan thought he’d chance his luck by asking her to wish his “uncle” a happy birthday.
This time the photo was of the former Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp, who has also been strongly linked for Rodgers’ job in recent weeks.
No response so far from Linda to that particular tweet.
Rodgers set for the sack?
Rodgers is under significant pressure at Anfield after a disappointing 2014-15 campaign, followed up by an underwhelming start to the current season.
Liverpool have picked up eight points from their opening six Premier League matches and currently find themselves 13th in the table - behind the likes of Watford, Leicester City and Norwich City.
The Reds face Carlisle United in the Capital One Cup this evening, before a crucial home match against Aston Villa in the league on Saturday afternoon.
Lose either of those matches and Rodgers could well be handed his P45.
