Valencia successfully made it through to the Champions League group stage with a 5-1 aggregate win over Swedish title-holders Elfsborg.
The Spanish club were favourites to progress to the next round following a 3-0 victory in the first leg.
And they lived up to expectations again in the second-leg with goals from Ivan Helguera and David Villa sandwiching Elfsborg´s reply by Daniel Alexandersson.
