Manager Walter Smith saw Rangers secure a place in the Champions League group stages and admitted: "It means a lot."

A goalless draw in Serbia was enough for Rangers, after their 1-0 win over Red Star Belgrade at Ibrox a fortnight ago thanks to Nacho Novo´s late goal, and it will also mean Rangers earning at least £10million from their European adventure this season.

Smith said: "It means an awful lot to the club overall, in all aspects. We try to focus on the footballing part of it, and every one of us wants to be involved in the Champions League, and I´m just delighted that we´re there."
