Roma captain Francesco Totti has warned his team-mates to keep their feet firmly on the ground despite their impressive start to the new Serie A campaign.

The Giallorossi won 2-0 at Palermo on Sunday, a result that followed their 1-0 triumph over Internazionale that handed them the Italian Super Cup - and Roma, who finished second best behind Inter in Italy´s top flight last season, aim to go one step further.

"It´s clear we are alongside Inter, Juventus and AC Milan candidates to win the Serie A," said 30-year-old Totti. "But the word Scudetto is a challenging one and we must be careful, it´s early days yet. We will obviously try to challenge any team for the title."
