Fabregas on Flamini
Francesc Fabregas is always going to have roots at Arsenal, which is why it’s relatively unsurprising to see him hailing former teammate Mathieu Flamini on social media.
Fabregas posted a picture to his Instagram account praising Flamini for his match-winning performance in the north London derby earlier this week, captioning it ‘I always knew you had an eye for goal’.
Given the way he’s started this season, it’s probably fair to assume the Chelsea man is wishing to harness shades of his old friend moving forward.
Falcao 'good' in the Capital One Cup
In other news, Jose Mourinho has claimed he was happy with the performance of Radamel Falcao during the Blues’ Capital One Cup victory over Walsall mid-week.
In the eyes of many the Colombia international was disappointing as he failed to impress against the lowly opposition, but Mourinho said it was a good game for him.
Costa v Zouma
Lastly, Diego Costa wasn’t angry at Kurt Zouma for branding him a ‘cheat’ following Chelsea’s win over Arsenal last weekend. That’s at least according to Zouma, who must have been left sweating after admitting his teammate loves to goad opponents.
Zouma said in an interview with the London Evening Standard that Costa knew what he had meant to say, and wasn't annoyed in the slightest. It looks like he got away with it, then.
