Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has likened Chelsea star Diego Costa to Wayne Rooney.
As reported by The Sun, Ferdinand, who retired from the game at the end of last season, has suggested that Costa is in a similar mould to both Rooney and former United skipper Roy Keane.
Costa, of course, was handed a retrospective three-game ban by the FA following his on-pitch antics against Arsenal last weekend.

The Spanish international was embroiled in controversy throughout proceedings in west London and will now miss the Blues' next two Premier League fixtures.
Ferdinand, though, has insisted that Costa is never going to change and claims Chelsea fans 'will be delighted with him'.
The ex-United star stated: “A lot was made of it but it’s the same with Wayne Rooney when he got in a bit of bother in his younger days. Or Roy Keane.
“Do you want to take that fire out of their system? Would it take away from them how they are as players? Probably it would.
“You are never going to take that all away from Costa and I wouldn’t want to. He just has to find that happy medium. Chelsea fans will be delighted with him.”
Ultimately, there's no way that Costa will change. Let's be honest, he could do with calming down slightly, but he's always going to wind up his opponents.
It's crucial, though, that he stays on the pitch as Chelsea need him to hit top form in their pursuit of success this season.
At the end of the day, despite his problems, he's one of the best strikers in England's elite division, so could yet have a key role to play in helping Jose Mourinho's side mount a serious title challenge.
