Jurgen Klopp is ready to cut short his sabbatical in order to become Liverpool manager - provided the Reds make him the right offer.
This is according to a source close to the former Borussia Dortmund head coach, who has told The Sun that Klopp would carefully examine every aspect of the Merseyside outfit before agreeing to replace Brendan Rodgers.
Klopp is currently taking a break from management following seven hectic years at Signal Iduna Park, but the 48-year-old is preparing for his return to top-level coaching during his time off.

“He’ll only come back for the right opportunity from a club like Liverpool and that means looking at everything about the club to see if he can work there,” the source revealed. “It does not have to be a Champions League club, but must be the right club with the right energy.
“His plans are set for the next couple of months. Yet if something special happened, he could consider it.
“He has spent his time off watching Premier League DVDs, as well as Bundesliga action.”
Liverpool fans react to news
Liverpool offer could prove irresistible for Klopp
It was reported earlier this month, by the Daily Mail, that Klopp is waiting to discover if he has a chance of becoming Bayern Munich manager before accepting a job in the Premier League.
But the opportunity to manage Liverpool, one of the most famous names in world football, may prove too tempting to resist - even though the Reds are not involved in the Champions League and have their work cut out to secure a top-four finish this season.
Rodgers expected to be fired
Rodgers is expected to be sacked by Fenway Sports Group - according to a report from talkSPORT last week - but the under-fire Northern Irish coach bought himself a little more time with a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.
However, if Klopp - or the former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti - accepts Liverpool’s offer, Rodgers is expected to be handed his P45.
