Luke Shaw has taken to Facebook to update Manchester United fans about his progress after returning home from Eindhoven, where he underwent surgery after suffering a double fracture of his right leg.

The England international posted a photo of himself at home on crutches, his right leg bandaged up, alongside the caption: “Long road ahead but so happy to be able to put weight on my leg again! 😄 #‎MUFC”.

Shaw underwent two successful operations on his leg after breaking it against PSV in the Champions League group stages earlier this month, but is not expected to return to action until March at the earliest.
