WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins hasn't dismissed the possibility of a Shield reunion in the future, but he isn't sure if or when it is going to come and he won't be dishearted if it doesn't happen.
Shield forever present
Rollins was doing an interview with Chad Dukes of CBS Radio Washington DC 106.7 The Fan, according to NoDQ, when he was asked about if he thinks The Shield, one of the most famous factions of the modern era, would ever reform again one day in the future.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion replied that The Shield will always be in the ring, you just have to look hard enough to see it.

He said: “We get to fire up the band in other incarnations. We always laugh about it now when we do these tag matches and six mans and I’m on the other side of the ring and they’re like partnered up with Randy Orton or something like that. It’s just funny because you can put the components in all the different places but it’s still comes out gold every time."
Rollins feels the work he has been able to do alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose since debuting on the main roster has revolutionised the look of the WWE.
He said: "The two of those guys, myself, I feel like paved the way for a different kind of work ethic than what we had been seeing in WWE over the past five years, maybe before that.
"That’s something I know the three of us are real proud of and every time we go out there we’re going out there to have the best match and steal the show weather working against each other, with each other it doesn’t matter, and that’s just kind of the attitude we came in with and we stuck to our guns this entire time and it’s cool to be able to share that with two other guys."
As for a possible reunion in the future, Rollins said he isn't sure if it will happen, but wouldn't be disheartened if it doesn't happen.
"The time we had with The Shield, who knows if it will ever come back around but if it doesn’t no one will ever be able to take that run away from us either.”
Many fans will be hoping for a Shield reunion in the future, as arguably this was when some members of the group particularly worked best. It probably won't happen for a year or two for the time being, as Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose are all hot prospects currently in the singles division and the WWE will not want to disturb that.
