With Manchester United gearing up for their second Champions League group game Louis van Gaal has singled out Julian Draxler as Wolfsburg’s dangerman. The forward has been sporadically linked with the Red Devils over the course of his career, and Van Gaal described him as a very good player, whilst also comparing him to new United striker Anthony Martial. High praise indeed, but it will take more than Draxler for Wolfsburg to derail Van Gaal’s Mancunian lokomotiv. Moving on, and Gary Neville has expressed his surprise that United are sitting top of the league. The Red Devils beat Sunderland 3-0 on Saturday to climb to pole position in the table, but the former Old Trafford man said the ‘sea was still choppy’, with both Man City and Chelsea extremely inconsistent thus far.
