Super Novo destroys Red Star

Nacho Novo came off the bench to rescue a disappointing Rangers side and give them a 1-0 first-leg lead in their Champions League third qualifying round clash against Red Star Belgrade.

Rangers struggled to keep possession all night and did not get a single effort on goal in the first half.

Red Star continued to frustrate the Gers but Novo latched on to an Allan McGregor kick to slot home an unlikely last-minute winner.
