Arsenal fans have struggled to find a song to sing for defender Laurent Koscielny for years, but now it seems as though they've found one that he likes.
The Frenchman has gradually emerged as a fan's favourite at the Emirates Stadium since his move from Lorient in 2010, but the Arsenal faithful have never been able to think up a song to match Santi Cazorla's Seven Nation Army chant or Olivier Giroud's famous Lana del Rey Video Games mash-up. Until now.
During the 5-2 win over Leicester on Saturday, the travelling fans took delight in what they were seeing as Alexis Sanchez banged in a hat-trick, and grabbed the opportunity to air out their new Koscielny chant.
Sung to the tune of Chaka Khan’s famous track ‘Ain’t Nobody Loves Me Better’, the Arsenal fans certainly seem to be enjoying themselves if the video below is anything to go by, and it seems as though the man himself was impressed too.
He tweeted after the game: "I love my new song thank you my gunners"
The Arsenal faithful had plenty of reasons to smile after their win against Leicester at the King Power Stadium. The win, which came via goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud alongside Sanchez's hat-trick, moved the north London side up to fourth place, keeping them one point above rivals Tottenham.
The Gunners will now turn their attention to playing Olympiakos in the Champions League having stumbled to a surprise 2-1 defeat against Dynamo Kiev. With two games against German champions Bayern Munich to come, boss Arsene Wenger admits the game is a must-win.
“You have to win home games if you want to qualify, it is as simple as that,” he said. “We cannot afford to drop points against anybody at home.”
