The New York Jets' impressive start to the 2015 NFL season hit a roadblock on Sunday with defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Away from the gridiron, however, the New Jersey franchise did manage to keep up their impressive record of self-inflicted issues.
Unlike when Geno Smith was sucker-punched in the locker room during preseason, this time around it was the poor decision-making of a Jets coach's family member that has led to headlines.

As reported by Yahoo! Sports, the son of Jets tight end coach Jimmie Johnson caused a social media stir on Sunday evening when he called out two of the team's biggest names on Twitter whilst visiting them in the locker room.
Commenting alongside pictures he had snapped of Smith and Antonio Cromartie, the teenager called the quarterback a "bumb ass" before mocking the cornerback's family - specifically how many children he has.
Unfortunately, the coach's son didn't anticipate his tweets would be seen by the very men he was calling out.
That's exactly what happened when Cromartie, a man who never backs down on the gridiron, got wind of the shot against his family and responded with a tweet of his own.
The whole situation is likely to make things a little awkward in the locker room for Jimmie Johnson senior when he next reports for practice.
As for his son? He has now apologized for what he describes as "really stupid" comments, whilst also promising to apologize to both players personally should he be given the opportunity.
We get the feeling he might have sacrificed that right.
