Arsenal round-up: Arsene Wenger to pick Ospina over Cech in Champions League clash

Published Add your comment

Arsenal fans, hello and welcome.

It’s Tuesday, which means Champions League football for the supporters of some clubs, and a lonely night in watching other clubs play for others.

It doesn’t matter here at GiveMeSport. Our job - giving you all the latest breaking news - remains the same. As usual, watch the video for the biggest headlines and scroll down to read more.

Wenger's gamble

Arsene Wenger’s decision to make big changes to the Arsenal side that faced Dinamo Zagreb in the club’s opening Champions League clash this season backfired, but it would appear he’s willing to take another risk.

According to reports, the Frenchman is due to rest Petr Cech in favour of number two David Ospina when the Gunners meet Olympiacos in a must-win clash this week.

After the loss to Zagreb, Arsenal head into tonight’s game at the Emirates Stadium knowing a defeat would severely hamper their chances of qualifying for the next round.

Bellerin v Debuchy

Meanwhile, there’s no chance of Hector Bellerin easily conceding his position as Wenger’s starting right-back to the more experienced Mathieu Debuchy, according to Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard said Bellerin ‘doesn’t care’ that Debuchy is a France international - that’s fighting talk if ever it existed.

Ain't Nobody Like Koscielny

Lastly, Laurent Koscielny tweeted his thanks to fans yesterday for finally finding a song they could sing about him.

The Frenchman’s name doesn’t easily lend itself to a chant from the stands in the way Santi Cazorla or Olivier Giroud’s does, but Gunners fans appear to have found a way around the problem with a little help from Chaka Khan’s ‘Ain’t Nobody Loves Me Better’.
