Liverpool fans, hello and welcome.
It’s Tuesday, which means Champions League football for the supporters of some clubs, and a lonely night in watching other clubs play for others.
It doesn’t matter here at GiveMeSport. Our job - giving you all the latest breaking news - remains the same. As usual, watch the video for the biggest headlines and scroll down to read more.
Liverpool keeping tabs on Rog
Liverpool scouts are keeping tabs on Dinamo Zagreb's Marko Rog, with the club seemingly ready to pay £8million to land the 20-year-old in the January transfer window.
Reports relayed by the Liverpool Echo say that representatives from Anfield have been seen monitoring Rog, who only joined Zagreb in June, with it believed the Reds have been following him for some time.
In fact, Liverpool scout Barry Hunter reportedly tracked the midfielder’s progress last season, but Rodgers decided not to sign him in the summer in order to aid his development.
No start for Benteke?
In other news, John Aldridge has claimed that Christian Benteke should not start the Merseyside derby this Sunday, as he should be made to fight for his place.
The Belgian wasn’t in the side that beat Aston Villa 3-2 and Aldridge thinks Rodgers should pick the same front three as he did for that game. That would mean that Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Philippe Coutinho would start again.
Rodgers and his awesome foursome
Lastly, BBC pundit Garth Crooks believes that Brendan Rodgers might be able to save his job yet, but only if he has help from four of his star players.
Coutinho and Sturridge are named amongst the much-needed quartet, whilst a good patch of form from Benteke would be extremely useful, according to Crooks, as would the swift return of Jordan Henderson.
