Manchester United fans, hello and welcome.
It’s Tuesday, which means Champions League football for the supporters of some clubs, and a lonely night in watching other clubs play for others.
It doesn’t matter here at GiveMeSport. Our job - giving you all the latest breaking news - remains the same. As usual, watch the video for the biggest headlines and scroll down to read more.
Ibrahimovic on Rooney and Ronaldo
He’s known for being a polarising character in the world of football, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s latest comments probably won’t be backed by many supporters.
The big Swede has claimed that when Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were playing together at Manchester United it was the former who had done all the work, with the latter getting the headlines because he scored more goals.
In an interview to be used in a BBC documentary - relayed by the Daily Mail - about Rooney, Ibrahimovic made the comments, and they’re sure to split opinion given how popular Ronaldo was at Old Trafford.
“When he was playing with Cristiano Ronaldo, all the work was done by Wayne,” Ibra said.
“But he didn’t get the credit because Ronaldo was scoring all the goals.”
Elsewhere Victor Valdes’ situation continues to worsen, with it now said that Louis van Gaal has made him train at different times to his teammates.
The Daily Mirror say the Spaniard’s attempts to make peace with his manager have failed - perhaps a move to Liverpool or Chelsea isn’t so impossible after all. In any case, we’ll keep you in the loop as and when we know.
United and Chelsea battle
Moving on, and United are to engage in a battle with Chelsea for the services of Feyenoord starlet Tahith Chong, with Louis van Gaal confident of landing the 15-year-old.
Reports say the striker is attracting plenty of European attention, and the Blues have now joined the race for his signature, but United may still occupy pole position.
