Manchester United fans have set up a petition for the club to sell Antonio Valencia following Wednesday night’s 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg in the Champions League.
So far 101 disgruntled United fans have signed the petition, which is - for some reason - addressed to David Cameron.
“Us United fans are fed up of Antonio Valencia. This man gives us stress like no other, he is the reason we do not complete our homework assigments [sic],” the petition reads. “He is responsible for the UKs [sic] crime rate. This savage must be sold by Manchester United, we cannot handle his STUPID mistakes EVERY week. Yours sincerely, Manchester United fans”.

Valencia has long frustrated Manchester United supporters, who appear to have reached the end of their tether with the Ecuador international.
The 30-year-old played 45 minutes against Wolfsburg, but was subbed off at half-time for Ashley Young following an unconvincing first-half display.
Valencia struggling at Man United
It was Valencia who played Daniel Caligiuri onside for the game’s opening goal; however, the makeshift right-back’s blushes were spared thanks to goals either side of half-time from Juan Mata and Chris Smalling.
Valencia performed reasonably well at right-back when required last season, hence why Louis van Gaal opted to keep him at Old Trafford, but has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of Matteo Darmian.
The recent injury to Luke Shaw, though, has allowed Valencia back into Van Gaal’s starting line-up - with the versatile Darmian switching to the opposite flank.
But after last night’s performance, it might be a while before Manchester United fans see Valencia in the right shirt again - and it seems they’ll be more than happy if that’s the case.
