Pressure growing on Mourinho
The last thing Chelsea supporters would have bet on before the start of the season was that their club would have recorded five losses before the end of September.
Pressure is growing on Jose Mourinho, and a new report from The Guardian has revealed another worry he may have to consider.
It’s said the Special One’s support in the dressing room is waning as a result of his perceived scapegoating, with first-team players having been left surprised at the omissions of Oscar and Loic Remy from the Champions League squad for the trip to Porto.
Added onto that is the increasing uncertainty surrounding John Terry and the fact that Eden Hazard looks out of sorts. Not good at all.
Moving on, Thorgan Hazard has revealed why he left Stamford Bridge and, surprisingly, it’s to do with his brother.
Hazard mark two said he felt compelled to leave as he didn’t want to be known as Eden’s brother. Younger siblings the world over can sympathise, I’m sure.
Benteke on Mourinho
Last but not least, Christian Benteke has admitted that he wants to play for Jose Mourinho at some point in the future. Before Blues fans get too excited, though, that might not be while the Special One is at Chelsea.
Benteke - and, coincidentally, his international teammate Romelu Lukaku - said he like the fact Mourinho had won everything and also praised Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola.
