Carlito could still make WWE return despite rejecting offer

Published 13 Comments

The WWE haven't been enjoying a good time of things as of late, with the rating figures for Monday Night Raw going down the toilet.

With the company's biggest stars being part-timers like Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker, combined with John Cena only holding the United States Championship and the lack of a real face protagonist that the fans love, the WWE is really struggling to engage its audience.

Because of this, Vince McMahon could be set to make some changes to shake things up. One of them is, reportedly, the WWE bringing back Carlito to the main roster.

Offer Rejected

Reports have been circulating for a week or two now that the WWE was looking to bring back Carlito. However, their offer to the Puerto Rican star was originally rejected.

There has been a turn of events however, with the former Intercontinental Champion potentially having second thoughts about rejecting the offer.

More Money Needed

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via Wrestling Inc, Colon would have gladly accepted a return to the WWE if they had just offered him a bit more money

"Carlito is still interested in returning if the money is right and made that clear," the report stated.

There is seemingly already a storyline in place for Carlito when he returns, with Los Matadores taking off their masks and becoming The Colons again.

The WWE have been seeking to find a new Latino star ever since Rey Mysterio officially left the organization back in May, and maybe a revitalization of The Colons is a way to make it happen. Vince will be hoping so at least.
