Following his arrival from AS Monaco at the start of September, the France international has gone from strength-to-strength in Manchester.
Martial has so far fired home three goals from three Premier League outings - and Neville believes he's made an 'excellent' start to his Old Trafford career.
The ex-Red Devils skipper stated: “Manchester United are top of the table; an unimaginable position even for United fans a few weeks ago, and Martial’s influence on that means that he just edges it.
"He’s settled in well given the pressure of his price tag, and adapting to this league in the way he has is a huge achievement.
"We knew that he was quick and could attack space and defenders, but he has proven already, with his strength and physicality, that he can lead the line well on his own. He has enjoyed an excellent start to his United and Premier League career.”
The teenager is by no means the finished article, but he offers so much to the cause. Versatile, creative and a natural finisher, the forward will no doubt continue to prove his class in England's elite division over the coming years.
With Martial in the team, Louis van Gaal's side are a far more balanced outfit, who may well maintain a serious title challenge this season. United fans will no doubt be excited by the future, but their latest gem could lead the club to immediate success.
