Everton are the favourites for this weekend's Merseyseyside derby against Liverpool, according to Reds legend Jamie Carragher.
Writing in his column for Sky Sports, the ex-England international claims Roberto Martinez's side have the 'edge' going into the showdown at Goodison Park.
The Toffees head into the fixture in fine form after they managed to secure a 3-2 win against West Brom on Monday evening, while Liverpool have struggled for consistency under Brendan Rodgers in the early stages of the campaign.

Liverpool's latest setback came at the hands of FC Sion in the Europa League last night as they were held to a 1-1 draw on home soil.
And with Everton currently sitting ahead of their rivals in the Premier League table, Carragher believes the home side will start the game as favourites.
The Liverpool hero stated: "I see Everton as favourites for this one - it does not happen often I must say. Liverpool are seen as the 'bigger' club, they have spent more money and so are expected to win more trophies.
"But the way Liverpool have been playing this season compared to Everton, I think Everton have the edge, and it is at Goodison obviously, which is in their favour. And I think the massive win that Everton had at West Brom, coming back from two goals down, gives everyone a massive lift at the club.
"I can imagine the atmosphere now - the atmosphere is always good there in a derby game - but I think the roof is going to come off when the two teams come out, which puts it in Everton's favour."
There really can be no underestimating this weekend's showdown. Rodgers needs his side to produce a huge performance.
After a poor start to the campaign, the Merseyside derby could prove the perfect tonic for the Reds in their pursuit of success. A victory at Goodison Park could help them turn their stuttering season around.
Ultimately, though, it's going to be an extremely difficult test for Rodgers and Co. The Reds have to be at their best or the pressure will only intensify on Rodgers.
