For what might be the first time ever in his career, John Cena is taking some time away from the WWE.

Cena Taking Time Off

What makes it odd is that Cena isn't injured, nor is he shooting a movie somewhere. He is just taking two months completely off.

Cena is the United States Champion and is the headline star of one of the tours that will be going on in Europe, so the WWE aren't doing this as part of an angle or story line.

Personal Reasons

According to a report from Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, Cena is taking the time off for "Personal Reasons".

Cena isn't advertised for anything at all after the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view at the end of this month, then he will be off television for pretty much all of the tail end of 2015.

As part of the time off, WWE officials have confirmed he will not be appearing on any dates during the company's upcoming 10-day European tour that will see them do shows in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and Germany.

Dropping the Title?

Cena recently regained the U.S. title from WWE World Champion Seth Rollins at WWE Night Of Champions, and is set to face Rollins in a steel cage match for the title this Saturday at the Madison Square Garden show on WWE Network.

It seems certain that Cena is going to have to drop the title at some point, and hopefully he loses it to a member of The New Day. Following what looks like the beginning of a feud between the two after Monday Night Raw where Cena faced Xavier Woods.
