Real Mallorca have signed defender David Navarro on a one-season loan from Valencia, although he will not be able to play for his new club until mid-September due to his suspension.

The 27-year-old was handed a seven-month ban - later reduced to six - from all international and domestic matches by FIFA in March following his involvement in the brawl that marred Valencia´s Champions League encounter with Internazionale.

Navarro, who was unveiled by Mallorca on Friday, is the Balearic Island club´s fifth summer recruit after German Lux, Borja Valero, Pierre Webo and Francisco Molinero.
