WWE round-up: John Cena to take two-month sabbatical after Hell In a Cell

Published 8 Comments

WWE fans, hello and welcome.

It’s the end of the week, which heralds the arrival of two days of no work - unless you're one of the unlucky ones - and, I’m sure, more juicy gossip.

We’ve compiled a collection of the biggest breaking stories from today - hopefully they’ll be enough to tie you over until the weekend really gets underway. Enjoy.

Cena absence

John Cena will be featuring in this month’s Hell In a Cell, but that could well be his last appearance for the WWE in 2015.

According to rumours, Cena is taking some time out of professional wrestling, and it isn’t so that he can take part in a Hollywood film or recover from a long-term injury.

Instead, it’s said that he is going on what could be a two-month sabbatical due to personal reasons, with the WWE having removed him from their upcoming European tour.

Bryan return

In lighter news, Daniel Bryan is to make his WWE return sooner rather than later, with it said he could appear on the aforesaid European Tour in November.

Bryan has been missing for quite some time having been plagued with concussion issues, but it could just be that Vince McMahon and the powers that be want to bring him back to smooth over the absence of Cena.

Lesnar storm

Last but not least, Brock Lesnar could be in for a storm of controversy after being at the centre of a damning claim made by the WWE’s former Developmental manager Kenny Bolin.

Bolin says he was threatened by Lesnar after blowing a kiss at his fiancee many years ago, with the Beast apparently saying: "You ever touch here again and I will f-king kill you."
