Sports fans, hello and welcome.

It’s the end of the week, which heralds the arrival of two days jam-packed with mouth-watering sports clashes and, I’m sure, even more juicy gossip.

We’ve compiled a collection of the biggest breaking stories from today - hopefully they’ll be enough to tie you over until the weekend really gets underway. Enjoy.

Kerr's absence

The Golden State Warriors have announced that head coach Steve Kerr is taking an indefinite leave of absence in a bid to recover from his back issues.

The 50-year-old underwent two operations on his spine over the course of the summer, and supposedly he’s still having enough problems to limit his abilities as a coach.

With the Warriors currently the reigning NBA champs supporters won’t want major upheaval before the start of the new season, but Luke Walton is to take over in an interim capacity.

Durant for the Lakers?

Elsewhere, Kevin Durant might turn to the LA Lakers when he becomes a free-agent upon the expiration of his Oklahoma City Thunder contract.

The forward, now 27, is sure to be one of the most sought-after assets in the league when the prospect of his future is properly pushed into the light. Will it be purple and gold that he chooses?

Perriman injury

In the NFL Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, Breshad Perriman, is out injured indefinitely having picked up another PCL complaint.

It’s reported that Perriman sustained the injury during Sunday’s pregame warm-ups, and he’s now facing a long spell on the sidelines.

Terrible news for the Ravens, of course, who are currently 1-4 for this season.

Snoop Dogg's tirade

Lastly, Snoop Dogg has slammed Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Josh Scobee after watching his beloved team fall to the Baltimore Ravens.

Scobee missed field goals from 41 and 49-yards out, and Snoop was less than happy with the performances the 33-year-old has been putting in of late.
